Program Location: Homer Lake Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve
Why prowl for owls now? Many species are most active in the winter months, because they are breeding or nesting. That means we have a better chance of hearing or seeing a live owl in the wild! This program begins indoors with a presentation, and participants will have the chance to dissect owl pellets and take them home. $3 per person. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. All attendees (adults and children) must register in advance by February 10. For more info: (217) 896-2455 or cprahl@ccfpd.org.
