Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve will have Night Lights in the Garden beginning the first weekend of December. Every Friday and Saturday in December, and the first two Saturdays in January, you can see the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden decorated with lights. The lights will be on from 4 to 8 p.m. 

There will be a kickoff celebration on Saturday, December 4th with a scavenger hunt, carols, and hot chocolate. You can reserve a gingerbread house kit to bring home with you after the event.
